Metal Rescue silhouettes are handmade in the United States from sturdy 11 gauge premium weathering steel, also known as Corten steel. Each design is available in two different finishes- Corten steel and Black.
The Corten steel finish is designed to develop a beautiful patina rust coating that will change over time, protecting the steel underneath. These silhouettes ship out as raw steel and will develop a patina if left in the weather or frequently exposed to wet conditions. The color of the patina should change over time, starting as brighter orange tones and changing to darker brown tones.
The Black finish is powder coated in a finely textured matte black that provides a stark contrast in a variety of settings. These silhouettes will hold up to weather and maintain their original appearance for years to come!
Each silhouette has 1-2 stakes attached to secure it into the ground.

XL: 25.5" x 14.0"

We bought this for our dog's grave. We had to put her to sleep the day before Christmas eve after 15 1/2 years and have buried her on the property we'll be building a house on. This will be our reminder of her there, and we'll be able to see it from where we live. I've already primered it with cold galvanized compound, which is her color. This will sit with her and watch us as we work in the garden. She has severe arthritis and was half deaf and in pain before she died. This is a reminder of the happy, loving dog she was. And that she is happy in heaven now and waiting for us to "come home".
