Handmade in the USA — every purchase helps support animal rescues in need.
Every Rhodesian Ridgeback leaves a paw print on your heart. Our handcrafted Rhodesian Ridgeback silhouette honors that bond in weathering steel — a heartfelt gift for the Rhodesian Ridgeback lover in your life, or a lasting tribute to a friend you'll always remember.
Handmade in the USA by My Metal Rescue — and every purchase helps support animal rescues in need.
Metal Rescue silhouettes are handmade in the United States from sturdy 11 gauge premium weathering steel, also known as Corten steel. Each design is available in two different finishes- Corten steel and Black.
The Corten steel finish is designed to develop a beautiful patina rust coating that will change over time, protecting the steel underneath. These silhouettes ship out as raw steel and will develop a patina if left in the weather or frequently exposed to wet conditions. The color of the patina should change over time, starting as brighter orange tones and changing to darker brown tones.
The Black finish is powder coated in a finely textured matte black that provides a stark contrast in a variety of settings. These silhouettes will hold up to weather and maintain their original appearance for years to come!
Each silhouette has 1-2 stakes attached to secure it into the ground.
Dimensions:
Dimensions are rounded to the nearest half-inch, reflecting the above-ground silhouette only. (not including stakes)
Small: 9.5" x 4.5"
Large: 15.5" x 7.0"
XL: 26.0" x 11.0"
*XL size takes 1-2 weeks for processing.

My friend was so grateful for "this beautiful piece of artwork," which I purchased in memory of a Rhodesian she recently said goodbye to - and though still sad, she was so excited about this that she was texting a pic (to the breeder) as she was on the phone to thank me. Thank you for a beautiful, unique gift in his memory!
(while expensive, I purchased the full size for her and have no regrets)

The silhouette is very sturdy and well made. I've been looking at this for a couple of years because I lost my Rhodesian Ridgeback after 11 years - I loved him dearly. My only issue is that I didn't catch that it would come in as plain steel. The rust color was important to me, and I will eventually get that over time. So...I'm glad I bought is and it will bring comfort to me. The seller's description was very clear if I had read them. The misunderstanding is all on me.

It arrived quickly and is very sturdy. Looks great, the dog has an alert expression, like it is guarding the house, but still looks friendly. It is very shiny now, you have the option to keep it indoors or put it outside and watch the patina change color over time.
