Handmade in the USA — every purchase helps support animal rescues in need.
There's a special place in your heart for your Basset Hound — now there's one for your home to match. This handcrafted Basset Hound silhouette captures that unmistakable profile in solid steel, made to celebrate the companion who means the world to you.
Handmade in the USA by My Metal Rescue — and every purchase helps support animal rescues in need.
Metal Rescue silhouettes are handmade in the United States from sturdy 11 gauge premium weathering steel, also known as Corten steel. Each design is available in two different finishes- Corten steel and Black.
The Corten steel finish is designed to develop a beautiful patina rust coating that will change over time, protecting the steel underneath. These silhouettes ship out as raw steel and will develop a patina if left in the weather or frequently exposed to wet conditions. The color of the patina should change over time, starting as brighter orange tones and changing to darker brown tones.
The Black finish is powder coated in a finely textured matte black that provides a stark contrast in a variety of settings. These silhouettes will hold up to weather and maintain their original appearance for years to come!
Each silhouette has 2 stakes attached to secure it into the ground.
Dimensions:
Dimensions are rounded to the nearest half-inch, reflecting the above-ground silhouette only. (not including stakes)
Small: 6.5" x 10.5"
Large: 10.0" x 16.5"
XL: 17.0" x 27.0"
*XL size takes 1-2 weeks for processing.

I sent this to my sister after her beloved basset passed away. The seller provided the option to include a gift message, but I was touched and pleased that the message was not just a print out, but a sympathy card.

Bought this for a friend whose Bassett hound recently passed. She was totally surprised and in awe of the product!

I bought this as a gift for my mom and she loves it! She loves her hound more than she loves her kids so this was the perfect gift to let her neighbors and passers by know what the crazy baying is coming from the front window.

A perfect memorial for our copper

I bought this to put it my garden to be a constant reminder of all of the precious basset hounds I have had over the years. It is absolutely beautiful, very well made and I highly recommend this site!!!!!🩷🐾🐾

This is beautiful. Wish I could afford a larger version, but that's life. Friends lost their beloved old Bassett Hound and this gift meant everything to them.

Sturdy, looks awesome and the wife loves having a basset hound out watching the house. Living in a dry climate we are interested in how long it will take to rust.
E
Fast shipping. Just as pictured

This is a very good quality and pretty hefty in weight for the size. I am really impressed with this and will buy from this seller again in the future.

Wayyy smaller than imagined. I ordered the “large” to place in flower bed but it’s small and needs to be placed inside flower pot!
E
Hem received exactly as described. It is very nicely detailed along the edges of the metal (perhaps best described as beveled?).
Received order surprisingly fast.
Better than expected all the way around!

The Basset Hound metal statue that we received is of excellent quality. It is better than the picture depicts. It is a wonderful memorial to our beloved Phoebe. We wanted something that reminded us of her doing what she loved; chasing the neighborhood visitors that threatened the fish in our pond. I smile every day that I see it. It also arrived very quickly to Canada. Highly recommend.

This was exactly what I wanted. I got it for a little memorial for my late BFF Stanley. Shipped super fast.
